Porridge as a cold remedy
I love the stark, stilllife quality of this photo. There's something so wholesome and yet lonesome about it.
Maybe its the depression-era simplicity of the large pan in the background, juxtaposed with the modern cereal bowl and spoon. It just hits me in a funny, pleasant way.

Corn fritters at Mart 130 in Melbourne
I know that some of this stuff is corn fritters, but I'm not at all sure about the rest of it. A remarkable looking breakfast, it is though. And that's all we care about at GREAT BREAKFAST.

According to the photog, this breakfast is served near Metropolitan and Graham Avenue in NYC. The name of the establishment wasn't given.

When egg IS your face.
Naturally I'm familiar with the classic breakfast face, in which eggs are eyes and a nice piece of bacon doubles as a wonderous mouth.
Here's a nice twist on that old standby.

Just add 1 tsp (plus a little more to sprinkle on top) matcha powder to any plain/buttermilk/oatmeal pancake recipe! Voila!
